Dr. Amy Ringue is a Ph.D. graduate in Educational Policy Studies from the Georgia State University and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from Emory University. For the past five years, she has served as the Academic Chair for the School of Education (SOE) at Daytona State College (DSC) which includes seven Bachelors of Science in Education programs as well as the Educator Preparation Institute (EPI). Her research interests include assessment and continuous program improvement in higher education as well as K-12 public education. She has worked with the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) on various committees including pilot testing the Institutional Program Evaluation Plan, participating as a Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) Team Leader Reviewer, and serving on the Statewide Advisory Survey Committee to revise Principal Surveys and the EDFx005 Redesign Faculty Committee. 


During her time as a public school teacher, she taught middle grades science, reading, and language arts for thirteen years. She earned distinction as a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in Early Adolescence English Language Arts and served as both a NBCT reviewer and mentor. She was voted a district finalist for 2010-11 Teacher of the Year in Volusia County Schools. Today, in her role as Academic Chair in the School of Education, she continues to collaborate with both Volusia and Flagler County Schools to facilitate a partnership with DSC through the annual Bridge to College Cadre event.
