BRITTANY S. HART, Ph.D.

Dr. Brittany Hart is a lead reviewer, project manager and contributes to the technical assistance that TPI-US provides to educator preparation programs. She has over a decade of experience in elementary education, with a focus on providing evidence-based literacy instruction to neurodiverse students. Most recently, she served as director of a multi-institutional research project examining literacy professional development and its impact on teacher knowledge and practice. 


Brittany has worked in K-12 and Higher Education serving in several capacities including teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, conducting research, teaching at the elementary level and literacy coaching. Additionally, Dr. Hart has extensive experience as a literacy specialist, providing reading intervention and professional development in the areas of structured literacy instruction and best practices in differentiated instruction to teachers.


Dr. Hart holds a Post Master’s Certificate in Qualitative Research and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a literacy concentration. Additionally, she holds certifications in Birth-Kindergarten education and K-12 Reading Education in the state of North Carolina.
