Dr. Yolunda Beale currently serves as the Director of Coaching at a Teacher Preparatory Program. Yolunda received her Bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University located in Nashville, TN in Elementary Education. She received her Master’s degree from Tennessee State University in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading. Yolunda went on to receive a second Master’s in Human Resource Management from Walden University located in Minneapolis, MN. Her final degree was a doctorate in Organizational Development with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University located in Phoenix, AZ. 


Yolunda has been working in the field of education for the past 17 years. She has had the opportunity to teach and learn from both elementary and middle school students. She has also served in the capacity of a mentor teacher to preservice teachers. It was during this time that the true love of teacher development blossomed which brought about a transition from a classroom teacher to an instructional coach of preservice teachers. At this Teacher Preparatory Program, Yolunda has served as an instructional coach and Residency Director. 


Due to her love for teaching, Yolunda has served as an adjunct professor for the past seven years. She has taught Classroom Leadership, Cultural Foundations, and a Reading Assessment course.
