Dr. Yolunda Beale serves as the Senior Director of Programs, Partnerships, and Technical Support at TPI-US. She has an extensive background in education spanning over two decades. Her academic journey began at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading. Driven by a desire to broaden her expertise, Yolunda pursued a second Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. She culminated her academic pursuits with a Doctorate in Organizational Development, with a concentration in Organizational Leadership, from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.
A deep commitment to teaching and teacher development has marked Yolunda’s career in education. She has enriched the learning experiences of both elementary and middle school students and has played a pivotal role as a mentor teacher for preservice educators. This experience ignited her passion for teacher development, leading her to transition from a classroom teacher to an instructional coach. Over time, she advanced into progressively senior leadership positions, excelling in roles such as Residency Director and Director of Coaching, where she honed her skills in building and developing teams, managing projects, and driving programmatic growth.
Her leadership has consistently emphasized project management, building and developing high-performing teams, and successfully managing large-scale projects that improve outcomes for educators and students. These strengths have allowed her to guide cross-functional teams, foster collaboration, and deliver measurable results in teacher preparation and program development.
In addition to her leadership roles, Yolunda has shared her expertise as an adjunct professor for more than eight years, teaching courses such as Classroom Leadership, Cultural Foundations, Capstone, and Reading Assessment, further demonstrating her dedication to advancing the field of education.
Beyond her professional work, she enjoys binge-watching shows with her husband and cherishes her role as a mom to her two bonus children, which brings her balance, fulfillment, and joy.
